Among the other constituents of the index, Bajaj Auto Ltd increased 2.4% and Uno Minda Ltd added 1.75% on the day. The BSE Auto index went down 6.19 % over last one year compared to the 11.77% fall in benchmark SENSEX.
Tube Investments of India Ltd has lost 12.74% over last one month compared to 7.37% fall in BSE Auto index and 2.67% drop in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 1042 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 14049 shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 3335 on 24 Jun 2026. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 2165.05 on 27 Jan 2026.

Certain tele-fraudsters / unscrupulous and unregistered portfolio managers call customers or SMS them on the pretext of providing investment tips and lure them to invest through their bogus firms by promising huge profits.
Such deceitful callers ask the customer to share his/her login credentials with passwords to allow trading in their accounts, assuring huge returns.
Often trades done in the customer’s accounts are far from the best interest of the customers. Holdings of customers are often sold and with the funds, trades are then placed in illiquid securities at unrealistic prices.
At times, the holdings of customers are sold at prices detrimental to the customer. The so-called “portfolio manager” assures profits, which naturally does not materialize. Customers are deceived into providing access to their trading accounts, thereby allowing such fraudsters access to funds and securities available to execute trades, injurious to the customer’s interest.
