Welspun Enterprises jumps 3.72% as subsidiary secures Rs 66 crore rehabilitation project from NDMC

Welspun Enterprises Ltd. is up 3.72% to Rs 745.0 today, building on recent gains and rising 0.31% over the last week.

Welspun Enterprises Limited announced that its material subsidiary, Welspun Michigan Engineers Limited (WMEL), has received a Letter of Acceptance from the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) for a rehabilitation project valued at approximately Rs 66 Crore (excluding GST). The project involves the rehabilitation of old sewer twin barrels and will be completed within 18 months. This contract addition boosts WMEL’s current order book to approximately Rs 2,356.66 Crore, reflecting a total addition of Rs 366.66 Crore since June 2026. The company's trading window for securities is closed from October 1, 2026, until the announcement of unaudited financial results for the quarter and half-year ending September 30, 2026.

Trading volume reached 2.44 lakh shares today, a 43.68% increase compared to the average volume of the last one week. Welspun Enterprises Ltd registered a strong increase of 39.01% year-over-year, outperforming the 9.18% loss in the NIFTY50 index.
