Bandhan Bank Ltd announced updates to its credit ratings received from Crisil Ratings Limited, dated September 28, 2026, impacting several instruments. Crisil Ratings reaffirmed the rating of “CRISIL AA- / Stable” on Non-Convertible Debentures amounting to Rs. 230 crore (reduced from Rs. 1,295 crore previously), and reaffirmed the rating of “CRISIL A1+” on Certificates of Deposit amounting to Rs. 6,000 crore; furthermore, Crisil Ratings has withdrawn a rating of Rs. 1,065 crore of Non-Convertible Debentures due to repayment and a nil outstanding, aligning with their withdrawal policy, with the rationale published on their website.

Such deceitful callers ask the customer to share his/her login credentials with passwords to allow trading in their accounts, assuring huge returns.
Often trades done in the customer’s accounts are far from the best interest of the customers. Holdings of customers are often sold and with the funds, trades are then placed in illiquid securities at unrealistic prices.
At times, the holdings of customers are sold at prices detrimental to the customer. The so-called “portfolio manager” assures profits, which naturally does not materialize. Customers are deceived into providing access to their trading accounts, thereby allowing such fraudsters access to funds and securities available to execute trades, injurious to the customer’s interest.
