CARE Ratings reaffirmed CD ratings and assigned a new rating for IDBI Bank’s proposed 35,000.00 certificate of deposit

IDBI Bank Ltd announced reaffirmations and an initial rating from CARE Ratings, alongside observations from CARE Ratings Ltd. and CareEdge Ratings regarding its financial performance and outlook. CARE Ratings reaffirmed the short-term rating for the Certificate of Deposit Programme at CARE Al+ and reaffirmed the rating for the Certificate of deposit at 35,000.00, while also assigning an initial rating of CARE A1+ for a proposed Certificate of Deposit of 35,000.00; CARE Ratings also noted a Capital Adequacy Ratio of 26.92% as of June 30, 2026, and a Tier-I CAR of 26.38% as of the same date, alongside other key metrics like GNPA, PCR, and LCR, while CareEdge Ratings highlighted the significant shareholding of LIC and GoI and expects the bank to maintain high granularity in its advances book. Furthermore, CARE Ratings withdrew the rating for Bonds - Tier II Bonds as of September 2, 2025, and previously rated Corporate Bonds and Debentures, Commercial Papers, and Structured Credit.
